In addition to editing text directly in Ditto (and syncing those edits back to Figma), you can also apply rich text! Ditto’s rich text support will allow you to bold, italicize, and underline text directly in Ditto and see those changes applied to your Figma design file.

Enabling rich text in Ditto

While rich text support is in beta, you’ll be able to choose whether or not to enable it for each of your Ditto projects. If you don’t want rich text Ditto to be synced back to Figma, turn rich text mode off.

To turn rich text mode on, select “Enable Rich Text” in your project:

How can you edit rich text in Ditto?

You’ll be able to edit rich text for any text items, variants, components, and plurals in Ditto! You can edit rich text in Ditto in both our web app and Figma plugin.

To get started editing rich text in Ditto, select a text item in Ditto. In the Edit tab, you’ll be able to edit the text and apply rich text formatting (either using keyboard shortcuts or the highlight buttons):
